Immersive Art Classes
for Beginners and
Advanced Students
Classes at Gasper Arts Center are for both beginner and advanced students who wish to experience art at a level that is both comfortable to them as well as enjoyable.
Beginner classes
will focus on the basic techniques of the medium and let beginners move at a comfortable pace while they become familiar with the materials. Whether you have just dabbled in the arts or have never done anything art related, we have knowledgeable teachers here at Gasper Arts Center to help guide you.
Advanced classes
will focus on more advanced techniques and proficiency as well as diving deeper into concepts and narratives. Thoughts on design and composition will be introduced as well as encouragement to try new styles and range of materials.
Adult Watercolor Classes by Kitte
This watercolor class is being offered by an award-winning watercolorist, Henriette “Kitte” Arnold, and is for artists of all skill levels. Attendees will learn how to create the basic image to be painted, mix and use watercolor paint on a pallet, apply proper techniques for painting their image, and receive instruction on how to continue to paint at home. Students are expected to bring the watercolor supplies they already have. New students must notify the instructor in advance if they need supplies for the class. A minimal charge will be applied at class-time if basic supplies are needed.
Cost for basic materials are:
9x12 Arches Watercolor Paper - $5 per sheet
Basic pallet usage per class - $5 per class must be pre-arranged
Basic pallet purchase including paint $15, must be pre-arranged.
Please wear comfortable attire. Absolutely no children under the age of 18 are permitted in the adult classes.
Private classes may be scheduled to accommodate younger students. This is to ensure that the class as well as your child receives the best and appropriate instruction.
